Don’t switch off Loki just yet. The fifth episode of Loki season 2 is hiding one of the MCU’s silliest sign-offs yet in a post-credits ‘scene.’
It’s a strange time to engage with Marvel’s Loki this week. In case you haven’t caught wind, trade publication Variety published on Wednesday a buzzy feature about the waning grasp of Marvel Studios over Hollywood and its once-attentive audience. So, it’s painfully ironic that season 2 of Loki has been all about the imminent collapse of interwoven, convoluted continuities that seem to vanish in an instant, with the people working inside – ostensibly tasked with controlling it all – now desperately seeking a solution for stability.
The latest episode of Loki season 2 just set up an epic finale for the Marvel series, but you might have missed its most worrying detail.
Warning – the following features Loki season 2 spoilers.
Warning: Massive spoilers for Gen V season 1 episode 8 ahead!
Gen V season 1 has now come to an end – and The Boys spin-off certainly went out with a bang rather than a whimper. It was an action-packed final episode with plenty going on, so you’d be forgiven for missing a few details. After all, this episode sets the scene for The Boys season 4 (not to mention Gen V season 2, whenever that may arrive on our screens).
The Gen V episode 8 finale wraps up a dramatic season for The Boys spin-off. After the revelations earlier in the show that the staff at Godolkin University have been working hard making a Supe virus, and then the bloody episode 7 ending which saw two major characters killed off, it’s fair to say expectations were high for the big finale. Thankfully, the Prime Video series more than delivered with an epic farewell to these college-age Supes (for now, at least).
